ANJANERI FORT:- ONE OF 350 FORTS.
ANJANERI Fort is located in place of anjaneri considered to be the birthplace of God Hanuman. It is one of the 350 forts as well as holy place.It is famous trekking spot in Nashik.
GEOGRAPHY AND LOCATION.
It is located in Nashik trambakeshwar mountain ranges. It is about 4200 feet above the sea level. It is located in Nashik,Maharashtra. It is a hill fort. It is believe that the place is name after the name of god Hanuman mother -Mata Anjani.
There is small Jain temple at the fort.There is also a cave and a foot shaped lake at the foot of fort. It is believed that the foot shape leg is the foot print of god Hanuman.There is main Hanuman temple and Mata Anjani temple.
Flora:-
The place is so beautiful that here we found the rare Cape. The York lily flower is found here.
There is beautiful layer of meadow on the fort .The flower bed is so beautiful.
FAUNA :-
Here you found a good fauna .You will found common birds and also vulture . Animals like leopard and hyena but rarely.

By Road -
1. By personal vehicle from Mumbai i.e National Highway NH60 (Mumbai-Goa ) you can reach
In approx 4hours( without traffic and stop).
2. By bus service till Nashik from Mumbai and then to Trimbakeshwar from there to Anjaneri village which cost 30 Rs(May be more now) and total cost is atmost 700 Rs - 800Rs.
By Rail-
1. From Mumbai you can catch train for Nashik and from Nashik to Trimbakeshwar And then you have to catch bus .This may cost approx
400Rs - 500Rs atmost.
By Airways -
1. From Mumbai airport to Nashik airport and then by above means.
From bus stop or village its about 2km to reach to starting point.
PRESENT CONDITION
Today's condition is good .Now it is under the control of Indian government.For trekkers nearby there is hospital i.e Juipiter Multi-speciality hospital about 18 Km away.Then , Police Station i.e Satpur Police Station about 20 km away .
You get ATMs i.e ICICI Bank about 7.7 km from trek .And else are in Trimbakeshwar.
Here you get a good network for jio , vodafone and Airtel SIM card .
Anjaneri is now , declared as Conservation Reserve in 2017 due to presence of wildlife under the section 36A of WildLife protection Act, 1972,
BEST TIME
Best time to visit the place is Monsoon.You will see beautiful greenery and peace here .But in this season ,its little difficult to climb on fort. If you want to climb easily then winter is best.
THINGS NEED TO CARRY
You need to carry 2 water bottles .You will find local Shops at foot.You also carry first Aid kit in case of injury ,high calorie snack, sunscreen , glasses 🕶️ ,scarf ,basic identity card etc.In monsoon ,you should carry plastic to cover electronic things,ponchos etc . Specially wear sports shoes during monsoon.
HISTORY
Once Veer sen Abir, king made this as his capital. Also used by Raghunath Rao Peshwa as summer retreat in his period of exile. caves are found here belonging to 11th-12th century i.e 108 caves.
PLACES TO VISIT NEARBY
You can also visit Trimbakeshwar jyotirlinga ,one of 12 jyotirlinga.Other one is Brahmagiri mountain.Harihar fort is also magnificent place to visit .You must visit the big lord Hanuman's idol at Anjaneri village.
