Exinction not only affect the wildlife but also to the human life .It affected alot to our ecosystem . Because ,when an extincton occur ,we loss an important factor of our biodiversity. It can also disrupt food webs .On another hand, according to research its proved that healthy biodiversity is essential for human beings. As species disappeared ,infectious diseases rises in humans and throughout animal kingdom ,so extinction directly affect our health.
If a plant species extinct it impact on production of oxygen as well as food web.
If a animal species extinct it impact on food web as the pray for another animals lost.
Causes Of Extinction
Extinction can cause naturally also or due to human interruption in nature also.
So, the natural causes of extinction includes:
• Evolution
Nature keeps on changing itself after some decade. As a result ,some species and or animals are unable to change them self with the occurring changes. So, nature couldn't adjust with them and this results into to extinction of that species.
• Natural Calamities
Sometime , natural calamities like earthquake, flood, Tsunamis etc leads to the extinction of wildlife .In rare case , space calamities like meteor fall also lead to extinction. For example; dinosaur. In this situation some species or animal was unable to rescue themselves or survive in these worsening condition resulted into extinction of that species.
So, the man made causes of extinction includes:
• Man - Made disaster
Man made disasters like forest fire , war etc also leads to the extinction of many animals species. This leads to great loss of wildlife.
• Loss Of Habitat
Due to increasing urbanization , a lot of of deforestation had been undertaken and this results into loss of habitat for animals. This results in to their extinction.
• Pollution
Due to increasing pollution of of air ,water and soil ;wildlife extinction was increasing. Pollution affected wildlife a lot and this also results in extinction of some species or animals.
• Hunting and illegal trafficking
In forest hunting and poaching of animal had been done ,which also results in their extinction .Example :Indian cheetah.
• Population growth
This is the biggest cause of extinction today. The greatest risk of population growth is to the wildlife. Population growth leads to the last of their habitat and which leads to their extinction.
